Directions
American Theater Company is located at 1909 West Byron Street, at Lincoln Avenue, two blocks south of Irving Park Road and one block east of Damen Avenue in the Northcenter neighborhood on Chicago's north side.
From Lake Shore Drive
- Exit at the Irving Park Road
- Travel west 1.5 miles
- At the large intersection of Irving Park, Lincoln, and Damen Avenues, take a sharp left onto Lincoln Avenue, heading southeast.
- Travel two blocks southeast to Byron Street.
- Turn left onto Byron.
From I-94/Kennedy Expressway
- Exit at Irving Park
- Turn right, traveling east
- Travel east 2.5 miles to the large intersection of Irving Park, Lincoln, and Damen Avenues
- Take a soft right onto Lincoln Avenue, heading southeast.
- Travel two blocks southeast to Byron Street.
- Turn left onto Byron.
Parking
Street Parking. Northcenter is an increasingly busy residential and commercial neighborhood. Please allow extra time if you are looking for street parking.
Metered Parking. There is a large metered parking lot one half block south at Berenice and Lincoln. There are meters all along Lincoln Avenue.
Valet Parking. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings you may park with the valet in front of Sola restaurant on Byron, across Lincoln Ave. from the theater, behind the Chase bank. The cost is $7.
On the CTA
- Ride the Brown Line to the Addison station.
- Turn left as you exit the station and walk one block east to Lincoln Ave.
- Turn left and walk three blocks north on Lincoln to Byron.
- Turn right onto Byron. Theater is at 1909 W Byron St.
The theater is also accessible by bus on the Damen (50), Irving Park (80), and Lincoln Ave. (11) lines.
